The wiring system for the airbags are on their own system. Now, the person who said this may be confused the radio system with steering wheel radio controls. If you do have radio controls on your steering wheels, they will be close together. I personaly wouldn't play with them. I do believe they make adapters for some after market radios though, that will allow you to use them.
