Default Aggressive driving?

Despite the fact that most of us drivers have learned about defensive driving, aggressive driving seems to be increasing lately. I read that the main causes are the roads more crowded and people busier, which is not surprising. Are you still a defensive driver?

No I'm not. I can't stand when people are riding your bumper and swerving in and out of traffic. It bothers me so much. It's just not worth the risk.

Yes, I am a defensive driver. It doesn't hurt me any to back off and let someone else in front of me, or pause at an intersection for a couple seconds longer to let someone else go first. I think it is silly for someone to endanger themselves and others to go around a car, only to have to stop at the same stop light a few seconds later.

I drive defensively, but my teenage son is more an aggressive driver. Sometimes I have to just close my eyes and hold on to keep from yelling at him, which would not be helpful!

There are times when you need to be a little of both, a great example is when you see someone who is from what you can see - unable to properly drive (maybe intoxicated) and you need to take precautions to keep you and your own safe and far from this other person.

I think a person can be both an agressive driver and a defensive driver. I drive defensively, having never had an accident (knock on wood), but at the same time, I'm not grandma over there in the right lane driving 40 mph. And yes, I do give in occasionally to road rage.
