Default Buying a house

We have outgrown our current one and are looking to straight rent it out for extra income and buy a new house. In the past week I can not tell you how many places we have seen, researched and drove past. Its all a blur.

We have been looking for a new house too. Our house was on the market for the last year and we finally sold it but we haven't been able to find a new place yet.

Welcome to buying a new home. You want to be sure you get the "right one" for you and your family. If it's all a blur then you probably have NOT found the right one yet. Keep on looking.

I wish I could afford a house. I live in a place where the cost of living and housing is and was ridiculous. My ex and I had to get rid of our condo that was 230k for 53k. Thank god it wasn't on my credit though, because it was a short sale. Talk about tanking. The bad part is I rent now and the rental market didn't take a hit with all the people losing their homes and renting.

We have looked through bunches and the only ones that come barely close to the one we love are right off the highway and neither of us are keen on that. The houses are great but living that close to a heavy traffic area is a no go.

Looking for a new house is hard to do. I am glad I don't have to worry about that right now. The good news is that it is still a buyers market because so many houses are on the market for foreclosure, short sale and regular sales.

Put first offer in yesterday, will hear back from them today. I ended up slicing my finger cooking dinner last night so today's work day is going slow. Hopefully they accept the offer and I get a little good news today.

We are three of us and just yesterday, my eldest brother brought up the idea of looking for a bigger house. It had not occurred to me that it was time to move.
