The other day I was helping a friend unload stuff from their mini van and I thought the sliding door was ope all the way. Unfortunately for me, I was wrong and we were parked on a slight incline so the door came back rather quickly. So today's words of wisdom are do not stop a van door with your face! I have a nice cut above my eye and a black eye. You can't imagine the looks I get when I go out in public.
Ouch! That sounds really quite painful! Did you have to get any stitches or anything? I can imagine you are getting weird looks with a cut and a shiner! You will have to come up with a really good story like a bar fight or something.
I have finally gotten rid of the headache from it, now if only I could get rid of the shiner! Everybody is looking at my poor boyfriend like he is America's Most Wanted every time we go out of the house!
That's not good. Make sure the door has caught before you put your face in the way the next time. Seriously though, I've done that before but I've never been injured, just aggravated.

Most of the shiner has disappeared thank goodness, but the brow bone is still pretty tender. It is slowly but surely getting better. I think I have learned my lesson, I will let my friend open the door from now on! But seriously, I will definitely be double and triple checking the door before my face crosses the plane again.
