Default Do you know anyone who has served in Iraq?

I heard earlier today that all troops will be withdrawn from Iraq by
Christmas! There are 40,000 troops over there. Do you know anyone who has served in Iraq?

I know several people who have served in Iraq. My brother being the closest one to me. All of the people that I know are home safe and sound now. I bet they will be happy to know that they won't be called back!

I know a few people in Iraq - my cousin has been 3 times, my sister's friend, my cousin and her husband, 2 other cousins. Most are home now though (all but 2 that I listed).

I was in the first Iraq war and my brother-in-law was over there in this war twice. I'm surprised to hear this considering how volatile the situation is over there. 2.5 months just seems rather abrupt to me, again based on how volatile the situation is there still.

It seems that most people have some connection to someone who has served over there in one way, shape or form. I'm just glad it will finally be over!

Actually one of my best friends served three tours over in Iraq and Afghanistan since the war started. I also have several other people I know whose children are over there and I am so glad they are coming home. I hope we can get everyone out of there without any more fatalities.

Our family is a large group of every military branch possible, even my youngest nephew has just closed up his Marine training now. Another nephew has done 3 tours and he is not even 30 yet.

My uncle was over there, but he has been home for a few months now, so he won't be affected by this withdrawal. I'm glad they're getting to come home!
