I was really pleased with this years 4th of July event parking. They offered free handicap parking right up front, and plenty of it. I heard a lot of people complaining that wasn't fair, and about how far they had to walk. Having a sister in a wheel chair I thought those people were pretty insensitive, they should just feel lucky they CAN walk. Still I am pleased the city did this!

That's great! I love the places that allow free disabled parking when we have one of the parents with us. Sometimes we save $10 to $20 and it's comfortable because they don't have to walk as far. They have more fun at the event because they aren't in as much pain as if they had walked further to get there.

I agree, I think that offering enough free parking for the disabled is a must when it comes to these things. I think everyone should get to enjoy them fully!
