Shes on all types of meds' for depression and pain (serious back issues), now the med's are making her not eat. The doctor who gave her the med's is now yelling at her for high BP and low weight. What is wrong with the doctor, did "real doctors" go away and get replaced with idiots or something in the past 10 yrs?

Did you or she tell the doctor that the meds were killing her appetite? Yes he is supposed to know that, but you maybe right that the doctors are not so smart as they used to be.

Ouch! That stinks. I would consult with a new doctor. She probably should not be on all kinds of meds either. I mean taking so many meds has got to be bad for you!

I have learned never to take for granted that the doctor knows about all the side effects of any particular medicines. If your sister has a loss of appetite then she should tell the doctor. They may be able to switch her meds.

I definitely agree that it's important to talk to the doctor about it. If it's still a problem after that then I guess it's time to try and find a less judgmental doctor!

It seems that this doctor is only seen twice a year which to me seems stupid. If it is a health concern that serious shouldn't the visits be every few months if even that far off?

It seems like the visits should be closer together if it's a serious issue. I think it's also important that the doctor doesn't blame problems on the patient. It's a health issue that the doctor should understand rather than get critical about.

So sorry that happened to her! My cousin has a problem that her doctor referred to a rheumatologist and she said he never even listened to what her symptoms were before he decided what to diagnose! It's crazy!

Oh it gets better. Now she wants to visit with an SO who she is with one week and not with the next. Their relationship from what I can hear and see (online only) seems reckless and I do not want that near my family. Sometimes I wonder if its just her destiny to ride life out unstable.
