Default Ow my car!

I went out yesterday for an amazing dinner with family (Mexican) and when i get out of the car to come home I notice there is a nasty scratch on the drivers side passenger door. No one was parked near me at the restaurant, but now it seems I need to get this fixed.

Don't like scratches, they make me grumpy. It makes especially grumpy if I find out who did it. Is it down to the primer or down to the metal? If it's down to the metal you better put something on it before it starts to rust.

That just plain and simple stinks. People are really rude when they don't tell you they scratched your vehicle. It could have been kids too.
I would take it to a auto detailing shop- You don't want it to rust.

You can probably get it touched up at detailers for a fraction of the cost of a replacement panel. I purposely try to park at the other end of the car park when I go to the mall- people seem to open their car doors into me!

Alex, I do that too now that my car has already been hit (twice). Ugg.

The first time, grocer store, parked at a semi normal location, hit and run, never found the person.
The second time, I was 1/2 way through an intersection and someone popped over a hill and t Bone.

Now, grrr, primer well I do not think its that deep so I am going to need to look into it. The bad part, super pollen season now and going outside is almost a death trap.

With your current situation, I wonder if there is something we can do to patch the scratch while we are waiting for better days to come for us to go to the detailing shop and have the fix on the scratch.

I hate people who scratch the sides of my car, even sometimes intentionally. There is even one time where I saw a child scratching the sides of another car.

Won't insurance pay for this?

I hate when people are so inconsiderate. Whatever happened to leaving a note with name and phone number on someone's car if they are not around when the damage happened?

I'm not sure if insurance will pay for this damage. It is great if the insurance company will handle the bills for repair.

I wonder what would these careless people think if their own car were scratched for no reason at all.

That makes me so mad when that happens! I park way out in the parking lots and I still have gotten some. I don't know why people can't be more careful when they open their doors.

Sorry to hear that!
Have you tried checking if the restaurant have CCTV? Most restaurants nowadays have CCTV's to prevent people from stealing. It's the easiest way to know who's responsible of the scratches.
