With the holidays upon us, millions will be hitting the roads. Are you one of them? I am. We will be driving over 6 hours on Christmas Eve so that we can spend Christmas Day with my family. I don't relish the drive but I can't wait to see my family.
I won't be driving this year, I'll be flying! And that's only because I am going to Europe to visit family. If it were anywhere here in the U.S., I would drive.
I'll be staying put! My daughter lives about 30 miles from me, so I'll go spend the day with her and her mom (my ex) on Christmas. Then I'll go home and watch football or maybe go to the movie theater.
I think the upper peninsula of Michigan is just beautiful! Just be careful if there is snow up there. It can be dangerous to drive under those conditions.
We are not going to far. On Friday we are headed over to some families for a nice dinner Neither of us are going to do any over the top holidays this weekend so a nice sit down meal with good people is about all we have planned.
We ended up deciding that we will visit on Saturday instead of Friday our closest family here in the state and then Sunday they will come visit us since they also need to visit her daughter. The daughter and both of us do not get along so its safer that way to avoid any family "drama".
