I never mind them when traveling through the UK, but why are more and more popping up through the US right now? There is one in my bank parking lot and I have no idea why, there is no reason for it.
I don't really notice to many of them where I live, in Pennsylvania. There is only one that I can think of off the top of my head. If you go south (NC, SC, etc) they tend to have more.
