I was driving tonight and I ran into some snow. I hit the brakes and turned the wheel as I was sliding. Luckily I kept it on the road. I was always taught you turn against the slide - my hubby said no you turn with the slide.

In snow you turn in the direction of the slide and let off the brakes. Otherwise, you'll go into a spin and be susceptible to hitting things in all sorts of directions with no control of the vehicle whatsoever. It only takes one time of doing it wrong to learn this lesson. I learned it.

It is true that you turn into the slide. I have been in that situation before and it really can get scary. I am glad you were able to pull out of the slide.
