Today has been a day of remembrance. I remember exactly where I was on 9/11. Do you have strong recall of where you were on that date in 2001?

I was working in my office cubical repairing computers when a regular came in and told us that a plane hit the tower. Tried getting onto the news websites, but they were to slow to load if at all. Was not until lunch when I went to my friends shop I actually saw anything on TV.

I was working a night job at the time, so I got woken up by a phone call from my girlfriend back then. She told me something crazy was going on and to turn on the tv. I was suddenly glued to the tv after really never watching the news. Very scary.

I was at work. We had a conference room with a TV in it. When the first reports came in, someone ran in there and turned the TV on. Within minutes, we all found ourselves crammed in that small room. No one was focused on work that day. Shortly after, we just all gathered up our things and left. I don't think anyone cared if we were allowed to or not, it was pretty much a mutual understanding, and of course, no one was reprimanded.

I was on my way to my college classes for the morning. I had just moved back home from the New York City area a few months before September 11, 2001 so this hit me hard.

I was at home. I was totally shocked and couldn't tear myself away from the TV. I had people calling to ask me if I had my TV on, and of course I did, the whole morning.

Yeah, while I first heard at home, I did have to go to work later, but no one could concentrate. They finally said whoever wanted to go home could leave, and I did.

I was at work, we pulled the tv from the meeting room and turned the news on. Our phone lines went down and my sisters work did the same, still have no idea why. Maybe an overload?

Where do you live, vroombaby? We didn't have any problems with our phones - I think that would have been very scary if they went down. No one knew when and where the next attack was going to be, and you definitely wanted to be in touch with all of your loved ones.

Ten years seems like just recently but I remember my younger sister shouting to say there was something on TV. It broke my heart to learn that many families had lost their loved ones.
