Default Cleaning your helmet

Do you clean, wash or even detail your helmet along with washing and detailing your motorbike? It will be silly to ride a shining motorbike with a dirty and rusty helmet on.

My spouse only washes his helmet when he can't see out of the visor. I bug him about it, and I've been tempted to wash it myself, but he is very touchy about his baby and everything that goes with it.

I say that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. My wife says a clean helmit is a happy helmit. So she is in charge of the helmit department and I change the oil on the bike!

Interesting. It's strange that he is very touchy with the helmet but he washes it only if he can't see out of the visor. Does he worry about scratching the paint when washing it?
