Today the insurance company made an inspection of my car. It had been hit from behind a few weeks ago. Well, the inspector says that the car is too old to actually have it fixed. He says that more than likely it will be totaled. My car is only a 2003 and in great working condition. Darn it now I have to make some tough decisions.
So they can pay you what it is worth and you can either decide to put that towards repair of your current car and pay any additional repair cost, or put the money towards a replacement vehicle? Is that how that would work?
Oh no, that's never good news. Hopefully you had a good enough policy to get something new that will work for you. Sorry to hear it didn't work out the way you had hoped. Good luck!
What is the difference between the cost to fix and writing it off? I know its a pain and it seems to happen mostly to good people who I know are not deserving of it. I kind of wish they would change this though mostly for those who really do not need it. I guess everything has an expire date.
