Default Cars on Ebay

I just found out that you can buy cars on eBay. I wonder who sells the cars. Is this from companies or from individuals? What kind of assurance do we have that they won't rip us up? After all, it is not a few books or a CD player. This is a major purchase.

A friend of my Dad bought a BMW on eBay a couple of years ago. His wife was turning 60 and he arranged a big surprise party for her and presented her with the car.

eBay members buy and sell all kinds of vehicles, and have for years, both from individuals and businesses. You can use the sellers feedback to determine how trustworthy he or she may be, and there are even companies that will meet with the seller to inspect the vehicle being sold, for a fee. If a seller has less than 95% feedback, I won't deal with him/her. Otherwise, yes, I've bought and sold vehicles on eBay before.

I think Craigslist does that too and I remember once being sick and stuck at home a crazy court TV case where the original seller had fake paperwork but never knew it. He was held accountable for the charges the new owner got for not being able to register the car. Buyer be ware I guess.

Yeah, well, there's a big difference between eBay and Craigslist. With eBay, you have contact information for the seller, along with a feedback rating. With Craigslist, you have nothing but usually an email address. You have to pay to sell a car on eBay, you do not, on Craigslist.

I trust eBay much more than I trust Craigslist. Craigslist is nothing but scammers these days.

There are actually all different kinds of cars being sold on there. There may be companies, people, businesses, and everything in between. Make sure to really do your research before buying a car online. I've heard horror stories.
