Default Class Action Suit against Mazda Corp

I heard recently there is a class action suit in the US in regards to the Mazda RX8. Now my buddy has one that has had nothing but problems with it and I know someone who was told he needed a new engine for his and it's only done 50,000 miles!

Can anyone confirm this?

Oh my gosh!!! That's pretty extreme. Yeah, I think if I was replacing an engine at 50,000 miles, I'd be contacting someone quickly and getting some answers.

I had no idea that there were so many problems, and I have a friend who is a huge Mazda fan who's going to be dissappointed to hear this. Has it been in the news at all?

Well, I don't know if it's official but I know some people who have problems with theirs and they said there is a lot of chat about it in the US. From my personal experience (Mazda 808 and Miata) I have found that Mazda is very reliable and one of the best car manufacturers. Shame the RX8 is so crappy!

I think it might just be rumours, I heard the same thing about Volkswagen Golfs a few years ago and nothing seemed to eventuate.

I haven't heard anything about it yet. I hope it's not true. There are a lot of loyal Mazda fans out there that are going to be sadly disappointed if they do. But to have an engine blow at 50,000 miles is really the pits.

If its not rumors its gotta be something hiding in the mix, Mazda well I do not drive one but I have a few friends that do. These friends are in the US too but never had any issues but I am seeing some random talk on a few other forums, so maybe its totally random?
