Must a concept car be radical in design and engine? Time by time car manufactures come up with exotic and unusual concept cars, but how many of the cars have a chance of being produced?

A concept car has to have something different and unique about it to qualify as a concept car. I don't know if I'd call it radical or not, but that is somewhat the point.

Yeah, I agree with that, a concept car must be different from the current mass produced cars. I just wonder if a concept car is meant to be mass produced in the future, or they design it "just for fun".

I like the idea of designing a concept car "just for fun", but I don't think a car manufacturer would spend a lot of money building a concept car if they didn't think they could make profit from it.

True, a concept car has to be different enough to be distinguishable. But it also has to stay within what is generally accepted as commercially viable.

At this point in time, the only radical concept car that I can think of that would be commercially viable is a floating car. I mean the ones you see in Star Wars movies, hehehe.

Haha, I love the floating cars. The Batmobile in Batman movies is also quite radical and has features and technology the real cars don't. As far as a concept car goes, actually the designers can learn much from movies.
