That's why I am never interested in lending or borrowing a car. A friend of mine just borrowed a car from another friend. He thought he had used it properly and never got any accident with it. When he returned the car, the owner checked the car and "found" a dent he (the owner) said he had never seen before.

See, this is exactly why I don't let anyone anywhere near my cars. I just don't trust people. I think it's really important to just keep things to yourself so others don't hurt it. I hate dents. They make me sad!

I agree. I would never loan my car to any of my friends and very few of my family members. They just don't take care of my car as well as I do. The last time I loaned my car to my friend, he came back with a blown tire, and didn't even offer to replace it.

I agree with everyone else here. I don't loan my car to anyone. My wife and I live next to her family and they are alway driving each others cars, but I won't even borrow a car if I can help it. Heck, I don't even like driving my wife's car. I hate it when she says "let's take my car" and before coming home says "sweetie, can you drive home?' ugg....
