I use a cradle for my phone, as it's also my sat nav. But I worry about it being a theft invitation so take it out every time I leave the car.

Do you leave yours in place?

The cradle, or the phone? Of course, I keep my phone with me. I don't have a cradle, but I think if I did, I'd leave it in the car because it would seem pointless to me to remove it. Maybe I'm confused about what it is you mean, though?

I always hide any electronics or other valuables I have. Once I ran into a Dunkin Donuts and parked my crappy single cab pickup alongside the road. Within the five minutes I was inside someone tried to break into my vehicle. They broke the lock and snapped the handle right alongside traffic. I could hardly believe it. I had just gotten a new wallet and my old one was on the floor so maybe that is what they wanted. Other than the empty wallet there were a few CDs. I don't get some people.
