Default Difference in Driving Position

I'm struggling with a new car. The peddles are closer together than on my old one, and I keep catching the brake at the same time as the accelerator. How can I overcome this?

That would be difficult. Maybe try keeping your foot closer to the "wall" on the right? Usually the pedal is within reach of the wall, and that would keep you farther from the brake.

I agree, keep your foot on the outer edge. It would be safer to slip off the gas than to press the gas and the brakes at the same time-that could cause the brakes to overheat.
