There seem to be so many things that can distract us in the car when we are driving. How do you keep your focus and manage to ignore all that's going on?

I don't talk on the phone or text while driving. I have different ringers from my important people, so I know if I need to answer it right away, or if I can call them back later. I just pretty much ignore any distraction and focus.

Kids, spouses, friends, phones. You name it and more than likely its a distraction. Its something that young drivers need to learn and learn quickly. Some adults need to learn too. I am still surprised when I hear about adults being stupid in the car while driving like being on the cell, doing something else, and so on.

I've learned over the years to tune out anything I choose, pretty much. It helps when I have to focus on one thing, to be able to do that.
