Default Do You Use Steering Wheel Covers?

I use steering wheel covers. The feel of rubber suits me better than the feel of leather. Besides, steering wheels of cars feel too small for my grip.

I use the steering wheel covers too for the same reasons. The wheel is just too small for my grip and I cannot control it properly without it being covered.

I've never used steering wheel covers, but I can understand how they might make your grip on the wheel better. I think I might try one and see how I like it.

I'm glad I'm not alone Fanbelt! Are you comfortable with the fancy designs too? That's the only thing I'm not comfortable with, although I bought one recently with a Donald Duck design. It has been my favorite cartoon character after all

MustangSally, try it with not-so-costly ones first. If you don't like the feel you can throw it away with not much remorse. But if you like it, you can always upgrade

I use one, but not for the reason you do. I bought one this past summer, simply because the steering wheel would get so hot when the car sat out in the sun, that I literally could not grasp the steering wheel without running the a/c for several minutes. Mine is made from a velour-type material.

LOL Not really. I use the cover for its function and not its look. Donal Duck is also my favorite but I prefer him on television than on my steering wheel.

Hi FiveSpeed, I'm amazed that your steering wheel heats up without those covers. This happens only in summer, I presume. Still, doesn't your steering wheel have some kind of wrapping around it? Just curious.

I have tried to purchase one for my SUV but for the life of me I can't seem to find one large enough to fit the steering wheel. I have looked in several places too!

Hi Mario, I find that strange. Is the steering wheel of a SUV larger than those of sedans? I'm not sure about the variety of sizes of these covers. In most visits I go to car accessory shop, the covers are almost of the same size.
