Well, I certainly wouldn't spend thousands. You can get a good system for probably 500 bucks. Unless you're someone that wants the whole neighborhood to hear your music, it doesn't take much to have a system that sounds good.
500 bucks is a fair sum to spend. I do not like interfering with other people's comfort so a sound system that serves me and does not disturb others, would be fine.
Really my sound system in any vehicle I own is the least of my concerns. I would not be willing to spend the crazy amounts I see some people paying but maybe a couple hundred.
I would probably only spend a couple hundred at the max myself. I don't need anything super fancy. I just want to listen to music, I don't need all the bells and whistles. It would be nice to have an input jack for my iPod though.
