Default Husband wants to buy Jeep

I was surprised when my husband suddenly blurted out that he wanted to buy a jeep. He was always pro-Italian cars. Anyway, I showed him photos of Philippine Jeepney and asked if he'd like one of those.

I've never had a Jeep, but I'd like to. I think they'd be a lot of fun to drive and very beneficial to have in the winter. So, how did your husband react to the pictures of Philippine Jeepney?

The Jeepney is just a tad bit extreme....

For a basic family vehicle I prefer the Cherokee 4WD......had about 10 of them in the family and still have 3. All were purcahsed at state auction and the most expensive one was $1600.....cheapest was $950 with minor front end damage and a hole in the transfer case. I purchased my '98 in June of 2004 for $1300......needed tires and had a few scratches. It is a 4WD 2dr and had 138K when I bought it....my son bought the twin with better tires and same miles. We drove away from the auction with 2 '98 Cherokees for $2700......can't do it today (too many people know about the auctions now).

When I get a car, I want a Jeep! They're definitely the best car out there, both for looks and for maneuverability.

When he saw the Philippine jeepney he jokingly said he'd like one of them. But I said we can't have it here in the UK because it's got open windows. He said that it's got a free aircon then.
Seriously, I think he likes the Rover ones.

Jeep's inline 6-cylinder engine has to be one of the toughest and longest used power plants in auto history. Nothing can touch them when it comes to 4x4'ing, they can handle a tilt of almost 35 degrees before they 'go over' sideways.

The TJ's and YJ's are not a lot of fun to drive on the highway, though.
