Default If you have multiple cars,

If you have more than one car in your family, how do you decide which car is driven by whom at any given departure from home? Do you each have "your" car that you use pretty much exclusively, or do you just pick one?

I and the wife have our "own" car and in most occasions we use our car. The kids are still too young to need their own car.

I think your situation is common. It doesn't seem to work that way at my house, though. With me, my spouse, and our teen driver, and three vehicles, it seems to mostly work out that whoever gets there first gets that vehicle LOL. My spouse does mostly use one vehicle for work purposes, but the other two are pretty much fair game.

All the multi car families that I know have a car for a particular person. You need to get to know your car, I've never really thought that swapping all the time was for the best.

The wife and I each have our own vehicles. However, I will drive the wife's, especially since she cannot drive right now.

We have two cars. Whoever is watching the kids takes the SUV, whoever is alone takes the car. They're both in my name, but I consider them both our cars.

Before my wife retired, she had "her" car and I drove "my" truck. Now that we're both home, we use the vehicle that makes most sense for the task at hand.

We have two cars and the funny things is, I really don't drive at all. My fiancé drives a different car each day. People think we're crazy but we love having two cars.
