Default My Ebay Experience With Tail Lights

I tried to buy some tail lights for a Scion and apparently the kind I need are no longer manufactured. A seller on Ebay said he had 8 in stock and when I paid for it he emailed to say it would be 6 weeks so he could order one. I realized then that I will never my tail light because they don't make them anymore.

Is it common for people on Ebay (even those with good feedback like this guy) to try to sell auto parts they don't even have?

I've heard about this happening and I can see why auto parts would be an easy way to do it. It's a shame though. Hopefully you can get your money back. If you used Paypal you can file a dispute for not getting your item.

Were you able to get your money back? That is the problem with buying auto parts on eBay, it is hit or miss. Even guys with good reputations can be guilty of these kinds of things.

I totally understood your feelings cause I have such an experience too.Suggesting you can leave a message to inquire with the customer service whether they are in stock before you place an order,I found it is quite correct anwser.

I always check the seller out before ordering anything. I seldom use ebay but I always do with amazaon and they are pretty good about keeping the fraud away from their members. Always try to contact before ordering because its the internet and you never really know who is behind the other side of the computer. Heck, I could be a monkey typing this all to you right now.

See, I thought I did check them out enough. They had good feedback except for a couple comments about the order taking longer than expected. A Google search brought up their actual store in a town near me. They claimed to have 8 sets in stock.

Next time I'm definitely going to email the seller first though. That's good advice.
