Technically, I guess I do. My car is the same one I first bought several years ago. I did have a car before that but it was bought by my parents. I never owned it.
I do. My current car is the first car I have ever bought with my own money. When I was younger, I shared a car with my brother. For that reason, I preferred to use public transport when it's available.
I have a friend who has never owned a car, and she doesn't live in New York. She just never had a car to take her test in, so never got a license. I can't imagine not having a car.
I am sorry for her. Today not having a car is like not having legs. How does she commute? Does she always use public transport, or does someone drive her to and from her workplace?
It's not the first car I've ever owned, but I bought my 1994 Honda Accord brand new off the showroom floor, so it is a one owner car. It's still in very good condition too, and I wouldn't be afraid to drive across the country in it.
