On my way home this morning I saw someone pulled over by a cop. They were ripping the tint off of their windows, while the cop stood there and watched them. It was really dark, so I'm assuming it was a problem, but would ripping it off in the middle of the street get you out of the ticket or something? Seems over-dramatic to me.
I've never seen that, but it would probably be amusing to watch. Some people get so emotional over tickets they freak out. I could see someone getting a ticket for tint and thinking that would get them out of it.
My mom had to do that! The cop told her to. He didn't really give her an option. She did not get a ticket for it, but if she refused to remove it I guess she would have gotten a fix it ticket until it was off. She was not so funny to watch, very angry lol.
There are many people who break the laws regarding tints (the shades that is). I have seen this a few times but many times the fee for it depending on where you live is quite steep. I notice this happens more when its a repeat offender too.
I agree, I've seen a lot of people with illegal tints. If you don't follow the law, you get made to put it right and sorry-but they are lucky to get away so easily in my opinion.
