I wanna get running boards for my truck, but was wondering if brand actually matters. I mean they're just bars that mount under the truck right? As long as they seem steady and look good that should do it right?

I bought some for my truck. At first I bought some cheap ones off of ebay. Tons of problems with the fit, and I found them to be a thinner metal. I ended up getting some Westin's from www.AutoAnything.com and found them to be built better.

If you can, try going to the local truck place and checking out which ones you like. I wish I would have checked my local place first. They are cheaper, or close to it on internet prices. A few times they matched the prices.
