My husband is talking about renting an RV in order to take a cross country trip this summer. He says that with both of us driving we could make good time. I don't know if I will be able to drive something so big. I have to admit that the thought is intimidating. Should I take a class in order to drive an RV or is something really easy to do? I know that the gas is going to be horrible this summer, but plane tickets for all of us is going to be worse and we still would have to rent a car when we get there.

It's very much like driving a bus or a truck. If he has the skill and the comfort level to do the tricky maneuvering, and if you just stick with straight interstate driving, you may be able to pull it off.

Wayne, I was thinking the same thing. I know my hubby will be able to drive it no matter where. I think I can drive straight ahead.

Wow, it sounds like such a cool thing to do. I have seen some programs on TV and some of those RVs are better than some apartments I have seen. I would love being able to afford one or at least being able to rent one. I am sure you will be able to drive it fine especially if you start in a place with little traffic while you get used to it.
