I just wanted to throw out a little tip to everyone who may not be aware of this. I needed to replace the battery in my '07 Trailblazer last week so I went to a place to buy a rebuilt battery. I ended up getting a brand new, never used $90 battery for $35. It had some scuff marks on it and they said they couldn't put them on the shelves like that, but they could sell them at a discounted price and label them "used." It was a heck of a deal and I couldn't care less what it looks like. If you need to replace a battery, check around for a scuffed one.

Thanks for the great tip Rodney. My wife is going to need a new battery before too long. I'm going to start looking around for one of those scuffed ones. There's a place in town that sells and re-cores batteries, so I'll check there first.

That is very interesting. I shouldn't need a battery for awhile since I just bought one about a year ago, but I will definitely keep that in mind for next time.
