While driving to my families this weekend my foot got a little heavy because the next thing I knew my car started huffing and puffing because I was going too fast. I looked down at the speedometer and realized I had it buried. Have you ever gotten distracted and not noticed your speed?

Wow! No! I have never actually buried the speedometer. That is crazy and you had better slow down. You could have killed yourself or someone else on the road.

I had my car under control and to be honest it usually starts shaking at 75. I have never even gotten close to going that fast in any vehicle and it kind of scared me.

I don't think I could go THAT fast and not notice it. I would be too afraid to even try. I won't say that I never speed, but I am usually aware that I am doing it.

I usually have the opposite... if I don't pay attention to my speed, I end up going really slow. Sometimes I speed up, but usually not. It drives people crazy.

Nope, never gone that fast without realizing it. You must have been on an empty road, I guess. Seems like if there were other cars, you would have noticed sooner.

Yes, I've done that before, too. I realize it pretty quickly when I start seeing people pass me up. Or ride my tail very closely.

I find that if I'm driving my truck, it feels like I'm going a lot slower than when I'm driving my wife's car. I do kind of surprise myself at how fast the speed creeps up. So to avoid getting a speeding ticket, I use my cruise control when I'm on the highway.
