I am so fed up with my rear view mirror. About a week ago it fell off the windshield, so I super glued it back on. 2 days ago it fell off again, and this time a plastic piece broke off! Now it is being held up with a ton of packing tape (that's all I had at the time!). Ahh, it is just so frustrating!
That happened to me one time in an older car I had. Apparently there is a special adhesive that you can get to re-attach it so it stays on in spite of differences in temperature.
It is hard to find a way to make it stick. I had that happen once with a vehicle that I had some time ago. I never could get that rearview mirror back up, so I used the side mirrors and twisted my head around a lot.
When that happened to me, I took it to a glass repair place and they put it back up for me. They have all the equipment (and knowledge) to get it back up fast and tight.
Well, I ended up taking my car to the dealer today and they told me that they would order the part that broke off. So, tomorrow I go back & hopefully they will fix it, and it will work this time! Wish me luck!
Good luck, Bentley! Although you won't really need luck. If they can't fix your current one, I'm pretty sure they can replace it without too much problem.
