Default Ticketing Underage Drinkers

I live in a college town and have noticed something odd. When underage drivers are ticketed for drunk driving they are never charged with underage drinking. The legal age here is 21, so if a 20 year old is DUI, why isn't there automatically an underage drinking charge along with that?

Not sure, but some states if you blow anything above a 0.0 and you are under 21 it is automatically a DUI charge. That means no mouthwash, dayquil, etc...
