Default Used or New Cars??

I want to trade in my bunky run-around for something a little nicer, a little newer... but how much newer? I am unsure whether to buy a new car or used one...

What are the benefits of buying new over 2nd hand?

Well the biggest benefit is the warranty. I wouldn't buy a used car unless it had a warranty. You just never know what has happened to the vehicle or all the problems it has had.

I agree with Mustang, as long as you have warranty, I see no problem in buying a good quality used car. Remember, if you buy a used car, the moment you drive it off the lot it loses 33% of it's value.

Find a reputable company that trade-in cars. If you have time, you can look at different trade-in companies and look at the some type of car that you wanted. I guess that is the best way in getting the cheapest price of things we want to purchase.

If you want to purchase a used car, you need to have sufficient knowledge about car. Otherwise you can bring a mechanic to check things for you. You don't need to be knowledgeable about car if you are purchasing a new car.

Remember there are plenty of websites around that will help you determine the value of a used car. Sites like CarFax will give you the history of the car, too.
