We had a long trip the other day and we had to stop for a snack so there were cashews in the ride and I almost flipped out over it. I really hate the idea of eating in the car, but the trip took forever and we were stuck between a rock & a hard place. It got me thinking though, whats the worst thing to have in the auto to eat?

Well, we do eat in the car. It only means that we have to clean it out more often than most. However, with our schedules is necessary most of the time. I have ketchup drippings and those are not fun to clean. However, I think that the worse would have to be ice cream. It seems that gravity affects ice cream more than any other food especially if you have kids. :-)

I totally agree with Lizzie! Ice cream is messy, it soaks into the seat fabric, and if it gets in around the seat legs (where you really can't get easily) and gets missed, it STINKS terribly!

I don't allow eating in my car, and only water to drink. But I cheated one day and bought the absolute worst thing to eat in a car. Do you remember when Taco Bell had those chili cheese burritos? I was driving and took a bite, and the whole inside of the burrito came out with the first bite. It was very hot, so I opened my mouth and let it go.......all over the console, the gear shifter and part of my seat! I was so mad........my first car stain! But I managed to get everything back in spic-and-span condition with a little shaving cream and lots of elbow grease.

No more eating in the car!
