I've often wondered what I'd do if my car broke down at night in an area where my cell phone doesn't work. I suppose if there was a house real close, I would go to it and ask to use their phone, but if there wasn't, I think I'd just wait it out until someone came looking for me. What would you do?

I would make sure the doors were locked and start walking to the nearest house. I have roadside assistance, so I'd call them and walk back to the vehicle to wait for them.

I guess it would depend on where I broke down. If it was in my local area, I would seek the closest phone. If I was on strange turf, I'm not sure. I would wait until daylight to make my move though.

Yep, I would definitely wait until daylight before I did anything. After all, I wouldn't want to be caught in one of those 'lonely car on a dirt road' thriller movies... lol.

It would depend on where I were. Most possibly I would just choose the safest option: waiting till daylight and hoping that I wouldn't need to wait for too long.
