I came across this article talking about orphaned cars and thought they were really interesting! For one thing, I didn't realize that a couple of these brands aren't being made anymore. The amphicar looks really cool, too!
I really like the look of the Austin-Healey 100s. That looks like my kind of car! Some of the others seem really interesting too. I read an article about the Anphicar, I think only 1000 were made, the idea just didn't take off. It would be a great product to have if you say lived in SanFransico and worked on the other side of the bay.
Man, I love the Amphicar. I would love to see some auto manufacture pick that up and re make it with the technology of today. Might be something interesting!
Right - and if they made the amphicar now, it would probably have seals that were a lot better and it might go farther before sinking I wonder if someone will pick it back up?
