Default 2011 Dodge Charger

Are there any Charger fans here? I'm a fan of the original Chargers, though I have many favorite cars. I think this year's version is looking very stylish. It has a powerful and quiet 292 horsepower V6 base engine, while the pricing starts at $25,995. Does anyone own a Charger, or is thinking of getting one?

While it's nice to see a return to the older body designs, the boys in engineering made a few mistakes, and this beast looks fantastic but handles like a TANK in the corners.... Dodge is NOTORIOUS for that.

We used to tease, when I worked for Dodge, that the only thing Dodge ever did right was the block heaters.... hehehe.... and while that may not be accurate, it was a sarcastic comment any time one of our units came back in for warranty work.

Well I definitely agree about the nice body designs, they do look hot. I want to test drive one, so I can see if the handling has improved any from last year's model. What kind of work did you do for Dodge? That sounds like an awesome experience.

Would you believe I was in sales and leasing with Dodge/Chrysler for a little over three years?

My first sales job was with a family conglomerate that owned a Pontiac/GMC dealership, a Hyundai dealership, and a Dodge/Chrysler dealership: I had 3 used car lots I could sell off of, and could quarterback or split a deal with a rep from one of the other dealerships on a new set of wheels.

Apparently I hold a record of distinction for that job, because the Sales Manager was one of the biggest chauvinisitic d**ks I've ever met, I still hold the record for longest term of employ under him as a female.

I had the guy dead-to-rights on harrassment charges on a daily basis, to the point that the other Sales Manager had me switch shifts to work for HIM so that I wouldn't pursue things. Hehehehe.

I like the older style Charger. You know like the one you see on Dukes of Hazzard. I don't care for companies changing the design and calling it the same car when it clearly isn't. Can't they come up with any NEW concepts or do they have to keep ripping off the past?

Dodge Doll: that's a fascinating story and it is unfortunate that you had to deal with harrassment. I guess some men still think they can act as they please towards females because they are in a 'male dominated' industry. Well, I'm a male, and I don't agree with that.

CherryRed, I don't know anyone yet who doesn't like the General Lee - hehehe. You're right about the naming of cars; they should be given a different name if they are a different car, so with the Chargers the best I can do to distinguish the new ones from the originals is by calling them the 2011 Chargers.
