Default The Detroit Auto Show

Did you have chance to go to Detroit Auto Show? I read that Porsche also presented at the auto show. It's a solid come back of the car manufacturer after four years being absent.

I would have loved to have gone but unfortunately I had to work this year. Yeah, Porsche came up with their single-seat mid-engine coupe 918 RSR. It uses the hybrid technology from the 911 GT3 R, with the 918 Spyder's design. It looks awesome!

Porsche seems to be your favorite brand. I agree with you, the 918 RSR looks wow. It seems to be a good car for James Bond. I am curious how much they sell the car for.

Interesting. But I wonder what they mean by "flywheel technology." Whatever that is, it seats where the passenger should be. I'm not sure if I would want that if I were to own one.

As to James Bond using the 918 RSR, I would beg to disagree. Its shape is too unusual to be used by a secret agent. It would catch too much attention. Still, that would be a credit to Porsche.

I went once about 13 years ago and that was enough for me. Cobo was so packed with people that it was difficult getting close to the cars I wanted to see. I usually watch the previews on channel 4.

lol... you're right. Porsche is my favorite. Is it that obvious? Anyways, I've no idea how much a 918 RSR will go for, but it'll definitely be way beyond my price range.

lucky: the flywheel accumulator is an electric motor whose rotor spins at a very high rpm to charge and store energy when the two electric motors on the front axle reverse their function during braking. The driver is then able to use that energy stored in the charged flywheel accumulator when needed, for example during acceleration or overtaking manoeuvres. The flywheel device sits partly in the passenger compartment to balance the weight of the driver for better handling while adding more power. It's meant for racing cars rather than passenger cars.
