I really can't see these being big sellers for either company, until they can prove to their customers that there are facilities for powering up their cars. Without electric service stations, placed at regular intervals, people just won't feel secure buying one of these cars.
I agree with Candle. I am holding tight to my old Chevy because I want to go green with my next car. I would like an electric one because of the great incentives, but I need to know that it is easy to recharge.
An interesting article. I like the term "range anxiety". Most of the questions I hear about these new green cars have to do with how far they can go on a charge. I think range is less of an issue than people think, because of the gas engine back up.
