Default Gadgets vs Privacy

I saw an article that talked about how some gadgets they're putting in cars now are a threat to privacy. There is one that, if a driver does something erratic in any way, will send a video clip to the home of the driver for discussion! I think I'd forego that option!

I've wondered about the gadgets that are on the newer cars and privacy issues. Personally, I don't want to be tracked and I'm concerned about what we may not know about what those gadgets do. That's why I'm buying the older cars that don't have the gadgets on them.

I'm the same way. It's really good that new cars are much improved in safety and fuel efficiency these days, but I don't like the high-tech gadgets that a lot of them have as I am concerned about the privacy issues.

Yep, I even think it would be better to get a car old enough to not have a computer in it, because they malfunction much too often. The newfangled stuff they're putting in - stuff that can make the ignition not turn, etc. - have way too much potential for abuse, in my opinion.

Well, I don't want to be tracked either, merely for privacy reasons. I am not going to do something against the law. But the gadget will be useful when you lend your car to someone else.

I like this gadget. It's something one can sell to companies that hire drivers. I don't personally mind having this in my car. If I do something erratic, a video is waiting for me at home.

As to privacy issue, I don't see any threat if all the gadget does is "send a video clip to the home of the driver."

So this gadget is equipped with a camera that detects the driver's action and automatically captures a video?
I think these latest gadgets are also making theft easier to perform because all they need is just another one those latest gadgets.
