Default GM closes dealerships

Over 500 GM dealerships were given the boot yesterday as their sales agreements with the automaker expired. This cannot be good for the already high unemployment rate!

What a confusing piece of news. I was just reading that sales were up, and that GM is opening new factories. Now I read this and I feel even more worried than ever.

Were the 500 dealerships only in the United States, or is that world wide, JeepersCreepers. It is quite possible that sales are down in the European community, and Asia, but I also read, Sharky, that sales were up in North America.
