Car envy strikes again. I would hate to think the cops were giving tickets for this reason but you never know. I haven't had a ticket in years, knock on wood. But you never know. I obey the laws but there are those times on the interstate that you look down and your going 80 in a 70 MPH speed zone. It's easy to do. I try to use the cruise control as much as possible but sometimes I'm thinking of other things and just forget.

I don't really think that it is the cops targeting these specific cars, I think it is people who are driving the specific car like a race car and not obeying the speed laws either because the car rides well or they think they are above laws.

That's true - people buy "fast" cars, and then think the speed limits don't apply to them. Those cars are meant to be driven where there is no speed limit, like the Autobahn, where there are other cars out there doing the same thing. Let them kill each other, and leave the people who are just interested in getting from point A to point B alone.

In Germany they do not have a speed limit on their autobahns. (highways to us). So I think some of the cars originally designed for Europe were designed for fast driving. But when we import those cars or the foreign makers start to produce cars in North America, we run into a major problem. Why, if a speed limit is 55 or 60 on most highways, do they make cars that go 140 without a blink of an eye?
