Default Least expensive car to insure

And the winner is.... KIA! Congratulations Kia you have snagged the least expensive car to insure award. With people cutting costs this is good news for KIA, read more about it at AutoWeek.

I have never drove a Kia. It is appealing to know that they are cheap to insure. Do they have mini vans? Have the had recall issues like some of the other car manufactures?

Yes, it is called the Kia Sedona and a brand new 2011 will cost you about 25,000. So you get a huge up front cost but cheaper insurance. I suppose if you found a used one you would be in alright shape.

I know that Kia revamped their minivan back in 2006. The 06 has most of the important updates yet has a more affordable price tag. Anything before the 2006 might be a bit of a gamble.

Oh right, well thanks for the info 25k is really much to expensive for me. It is good to know that 2006 and beyond is a good year. Does anyone know what the second cheapest car to insure is?

My friend used to drive a Kia and she loved that car. I think this is a good gamble especially with the fact that the insurance will be less. I am pretty sure if you do your homework, you can find it for less than $24,000.

I have no idea who was second. I suppose you would have to calculate the cost of the car and the cost of insurance to really find out if it is enough of a factor to be a reason to buy the car. Too much math for me.

The problem with Kia is a friend had a rental car that was a Kia. I know rental cars get abused, but this one only had about 10,000 miles on it. Every once in a while the speedometer would stop working and the needle would drop to 0. You had to tap it to get it to work again. There were a few other problems with it, but that stands out the most.

When Kia first came out, I thought they were going to be like the "Yugo", but looking at them now, they are actually not bad cars....
