Well, while some cars are "going green", some others plan on getting bigger! I just read about Chevy's plan on making a bigger Impala:

So, maybe they do anticipate that the economy will get better? At the same time, how well will it do when it comes out in three years? By that time, it will be competing with a lot more "green" models.

The economy is definitely improving, but I really wish companies wouldn't use that as an excuse to "go big or go home." Soon enough, "green" models are going to rise in popularity as they become more affordable and the government provides incentives for buying them and not buying "gas-guzzlers." It would be smart of companies to focus efforts on green models.

Lots of people seem to be in the market for "green" technology. I'm seeing more and more demand for it. Too bad the supply isn't up to speed with the demand.

I agree with you Mario. I would love to see the companies work on realistic designs that would work for people instead of trying everything at once. If you live out in the country like I do, you just wouldn't be able to use a car that would only run a few miles before being recharged. I like the hybrids too. As far as the larger cars are concerned, there are a lot of people who can't fit well into a smaller car and I'm not talking JUST obesity. I have a fused neck and I can't duck my head to get into a subcompact to save my life. It would be nice but it ain't happening for me.
