How 'bout a $2 billion dollar profit to stimulate your economy, eh? That's the profit for the third quarter, as well as the 3rd quarter in a row that they've posted a profit. Let's hope it keeps up!
It's nice when American car companies experience this kind of rise in business. It helps us all. I drive a Chevy and wouldn't hesitate to look to them if I were looking for a new car.
A loud "Amen, Hallelujia"! A lot of people in the business were really sweating it out, let me tell you. We really weren't sure if the public would be behind GM or not. I think the timing of Toyota's woes was a bit providential.
I've been following the GM situation. Probably not what tax payers would prefer having their tax dollars go toward, but I think it was the right thing to do. Beats the hell out of paying for a war.
