Default Buying Online?

Have you ever bought parts for you car off the internet? Would you buy off of eBay? I worry sometimes that parts off of sites that I don't know a lot about might be low-quality, so I've never bought performance parts from eBay or Craigslist or anywhere like that.

I always worry about things that I buy online. although I have honestly never had a bad experience. I would recommend that if you do that, make sure you go with someone who has lots of good feedback!

I've not had much luck on ebay, but have used autoanything.com with some success. They were aftermarket things like a bed cover, running boards and bull bar.

Thanks, Jason. I have gotten detail pieces off of eBay like new taillights, signal lights, dashboard covers, etc. I just worry about stuff I'd be putting under the hood. I'll check out autoanything.com - thank you!

I never heard of autoanything.com. Thanks for the tip! It helps sometimes to have other outlets besides Ebay. I think they make enough money!

I would never buy a car off Ebay or other online source. I am a kick the tires kind of person. I usually research online and then purchase at the dealership. Parts wise I usually find better deals at offline stores.

I haven't purchased a car from eBay, but I have purchased car parts and motorcycle parts. I haven't had a problem thus far, but of course your mileage may vary. Always ask the seller any questions you have BEFORE you bid!

If you buy a car on Ebay, don't you have to live in the general area in order to pick it up? Is it possible to ask the seller if you can see it first?

I've not had any problems with the parts I've bought off of eBay but I may just have been lucky. I do definitely look at the person's feedback before I buy the part. It's really a crap shoot when you buy anything over the internet.

The only parts I have bought off of eBay are for my old dodge that I plan on selling at auction. I always try to find a reputable seller who will send me a lot of pictures and speak with me over the phone.
