Default Chain stores, which is best?

What is the best chain store to purchase performance parts? By chain stores I mean the automotive stores that you see in most cities around the entire country. Who has the best service, who has the most knowledge, and who has the best prices on performance parts?

I live in Canada, and I think the best is Canadian Tire. I'm not as knowledgeable about performance parts but I use them to do all my general maintenance, including changing mufflers, break linings, and fluid, oil changes, tire changes etc.

I like NAPA Auto Parts. They seem to have the most knowledgeable clerks to talk to, at least at our local store. They also are very willing to give advice and help out. But then most of our stores clerks are mechanics who retired and then still wanted to work.

I like NAPA too. Anytime I need help the employees are always willing to help. They have no problem looking at the car with me and helping trouble shoot.

You guys are lucky, where I am the people at NAPA have been less than helpful. They used to be a lot better but this past year the service has really suffered. Glad to hear it is just this one location.

I prefer Advance. They seem like they will hire people who know what they are doing. We even have a lady mechanic who works there part time. She's a whiz at doing some of this stuff especially troubleshooting.
