I had a friend who raced for some of his income...but he had to use his racing car as a ride to work for a while. He would actually take what performance parts could easily be taken out when he knew he wouldn't need them for a while to preserve them for races. I know of some people who, with no intention of racing, have spent lots of money on performance parts for their cars. Are you one of them?

Heck, no! What's the point of that when you can't race? I am not about to risk getting a ticket just to speed down the highway. Save that for the Autobahn!

I buy performance parts, not for racing, but to increase the efficiency of my car and because performance parts simply last longer. I wind up paying more money and time replacing the cheap parts again and again than if I just pony up from the get-go and can keep my car going for longer.

We seem to have both sides of the topic represented in the previous replies. I can understand what you are saying vayacondios, but I just can't "racinze" (my word) up the car when I really can't use any of the products. It is also fairly into the country here, and those types of parts would have to be order in. Much more expense for me than perhaps you would pay.
